coronavirus updates

Here you will find all important updates regarding the coronavirus pandemic, including any updates on our opening hours, information on how to book an appointment with us and the measures we are taking to protect the health and well-being of our staff and customers

update -19th July 2021

Following the move into Step 4 of the governments road map to ease restrictions in England, we now have the following update as to how we will be operating our business.

  1. It is now not mandatory for our customers to wear a face mask while visiting our facility, however in order to protect our staff and customers we would advise that customers still exercise caution and continue to wear a face mask when visiting to reduce the risk of transmission.  We will also still have our hygiene station available at reception with alcohol gel, alcohol wipes and virus sprays to use on our trolleys if you wish.
  2. We will be continuing the use of our online booking system and urge our customers to continue booking appointments through this route or alterntively call us on 01283 533 821 before visiting our facility.  We will now be allowing double bookings through our online system, so that means there could be more than one person inside our facility at any time.  Again, although social distancing is no longer mandatory we would advise that our customers still allow distance between themselves, staff members and other members of the public to reduce the risk of spreading within our facility.
  3. Although the NHS Test and Trace system is no longer compulsory, and it is now not a legal requirement to check in using the NHS QR code, we have been advised that we still need to keep a log of attendees who visit our facility to enable contact tracing of potential close covid contacts.  We will still have our NHS QR code available to scan at our reception if our customers wish to use this tool.

17th may 2020

After the PM's coronavirus update was published on Sunday 10th May 2020, guidelines regarding the closure of non-essential businesses have now changed.  We decided to temporarily close to all customers (unless for essential needs ONLY), however, we have been working behind the scenes preparing our staff and facility for opening under new covid-secure and social distancing guidelines.

Please see below all relevant information of our new temporary opening times, online booking system and hygiene protocols for staff and customers.

how to book an appointment

We are now operating using an online booking system for our existing and new customers.  This is to ensure we are able to adhere to the social distancing guidance advised by the government.

In order to book an appointment to view your existing storage unit or to come and view a potential new unit, our customers will need to create an account within our online booking system which requires you to select an available appointment time and then enter some basic information:- name and valid email address (Please note the basic information is a required field and if not provided you will be unable to book an appointment with us).

Please click here to be redirected to the online booking system.

If you have any problems with this system then please call us on 01283 533 821, and we will do our best to help you.

Staff and customer health

The health and well-being of our staff and customers is extremely important to us, which is why we now have some important and essential measures in place to protect us all.

Upon entry to our facility you will find a hand hygiene station, we would like all customers to make use of this and please ensure you thoroughly clean your hands with the alcohol hand rub provided for at least 20 seconds (as recommended) before proceeding through our facility and please repeat upon exit.  We also have available gloves for extra precaution, if customers would like to use these as well then they are more than welcome to.

We now have plenty of anti-viral/anti-bacterial cleaning solutions which we are using before and after any customers enter our facility.  These cleaners are sprayed on all touch points throughout the building, on all equipment available for use by our customers (such as trolleys, sack trucks and pallet lifters) and in our toilet facilities.  We will also have a bottle of this cleaner available in our main entrance, should customers feel that they would prefer to spray their own trolley before use.  Again, please dispose of any rubbish using the foot pedal bin provided in the main entrance area.

We also have a new no-contact/social distancing procedure in place, this means that we will no longer be allowing customers into our office as the space does not allow for the recommended 2 metre guidelines now imposed in all retail facilities.  We do have a large window between our office and the main entrance and have installed an opening hatch in our wall, so we will still be able to speak with our customers face-to-face using this new system.  We hope that our customers will be patient and adhere to this new method of communication in order to keep us both safe and well.  We are still available via phone or email, so please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Sometimes we are required to show new customers around our facility and storage units, we will still be able to do this however, we will be imposing a strict 2 metre distance between ourselves and our customers.  Please do not think we are being rude if we step back while you view the unit you are interested in, we are simply doing our best to reduce the risk of spreading within our facility.

Finally, it would be really helpful if our customers avoid touching any unnecessary areas within our facility i.e. walls and windows etc.  This will greatly reduce the risk of contamination within our facility and reduce the amount of time and materials required to disinfect these areas.

Thank you!
